e-FM Northeast Sponsors COCO Children's Charity
May 2010On the 26th of May 2010, e-Financial Management witnessed a very inspiring charity event hosted by Steve Cram, the Northeast sporting legend.
The event, organized by the Northeast Alumni of Newcastle Business School was held in support of COCO children’s charity. COCO is a registered charity that works on closely monitored education and healthcare initiatives to make a huge difference to the lives of children living in poverty throughout the developing world. COCO helps fund children’s projects in Africa, Thailand, Bosnia, Peru and Romania.
To kick off the event, World champion and Olympic silver medalist, Steve Cram gave a motivational speech that took his audience on a personal journey of drive, determination and achievement. e-Financial Management sponsored the event along with other local companies including CINTRA, NEPAF and Newcastle University Business School.
Northeast director, Malcolm Holloway said ‘it is quite easy to see how transferable these skills are from sports to the professional services industry. We are delighted to be sponsors of this event, and we have all managed to raise a considerable amount of funds to support this just cause’.
Chairman of the Newcastle University Business School, Carsten Staehr, was delighted at the turnout, and was happy to have an impressive number of corporate partners present at the event.
