Financial Controller

Russell is a part-qualified accountant who joined e-FM in 2000. He began his accounting career with Ernst & Young in Luton and has been involved in the financial activities of a diverse range of companies prior to joining e-FM. His previous commercial roles include working as a Financial Controller with Fox Software, the UK subsidiary of a US software-publishing house. Russell was key to the development of the European operation, which involved financial reporting, operations structures and developing subsidiaries and distributors.

Other financial roles have included a two-year stint with a top 300 national charity, preparing them for the new issue of SORP accounting. This was followed by a period of eighteen months during which Russell completed an MBA with the Open University whilst fulfilling a part-time lecturing role in change management. Russell has also worked as internal auditor for the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation and Herts CC; and the Jigsaw Group, the largest national provider of child care facilities in the UK, as Finance Manager. In this role he implemented a Pegasus accounting system, which rationalised the reporting of fifteen nurseries located across the south of England and was responsible for the set up of new financial and operating systems and procedures throughout the group.

Russell now works for clients around London and the North Home Counties. These clients include companies in a wide range of sectors including technology, retail and manufacturing.
