Financial Director

Maurice is a Chartered Accountant with decades of experience in project management, business process review and financial planning. Prior to joining e-FM as Regional Director North West, Maurice worked as a freelance financial director with several growing businesses. These projects spanned across a wide range of business sectors including mortgage, retail, catering and construction. He assisted these companies by developing appropriate strategies and improving business processes. His responsibilities involved managing cash flow, securing long-term funding, preparation of statutory accounts and Sage migration.

Previously at Kevan Pilling & Co, a firm of Chartered Accountants, Maurice worked as a General Practice Manager dealing with all accounting aspects of small and medium sized business clients in the construction, food manufacturing, engineering and retail sectors. He dealt with over 15 liquidations of small, private companies, gaining an appreciation of the insolvency process and the wide range of circumstances that lead to insolvency. He is also chairman of The Business Inn business network.
